Daniel “Danny” Carl Fritz

On Thursday, January 14, 2021, Daniel “Danny” Carl Fritz, amazing brother and loving father of 3 beautiful children lost his fight against cancer at the age of 39.

Danny was born on October 30, 1981, in Merriam, Kansas to Bruce Fritz and Cathy Lindquist. Danny grew up playing baseball with the neighborhood kids and made many lifelong friends during this time. Along the way, he developed a passion for fishing, fixing cars, and anything that went fast. Danny worked for Albert Tam Lumber at the time of his passing and took a lot of pride in his work. Behind the wheel or on the water were two of his most favorite places. Danny will always be remembered for his snappy comebacks and ability to always joke even when things were challenging. His humor and laughter could truly light up a room. Words don’t begin to explain who Danny was as a person and every person he met; he made a lasting impression on.

Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Cathy Vinzant. He is survived by his daughters Anastasia and Isabella, and his son, Zachary, his father, Bruce Fritz and stepmother, Diana Fritz, sister, Sarah Kates and her husband, Danny, and many other extended family members including his dog, Mylo.

I’ve finished life’s chores assigned to me,
So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole
For I’ve been invited to the fishin’ hole.

Where every day is a day to fish,
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don’t worry, or feel sad for me,
I’m fishin’ with the Master of the sea.

We will miss each other for a while,
But you will come and bring your smile.
That won’t be long you will see,
Till we’re together you and me.

To all of those that think of me,
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I’m missin’
Just tell ’em I’ve gone fishin

Danny you were the best little brother I could ever have asked for. I will miss you forever and I will love and cherish our memories forever. You were fun, funny and full of laughter and sometimes fights on good ol Sunvale.
    With love,
    Amber McCracken

To all of the Fritzand Kates Family:

So sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers will be with all of you as you go through this most difficult time.

Loved the poem at the end of his obituary.

Being your sister’s ungendered child was one of the best things I could’ve asked for. You were a great uncle, a fantastic father, and probably an even better brother. You were so funny even at the worst of times and being around you was always a joy. We’ll all miss you, Uncle Danny, a whole bunch. Say hi to grandma for me. I love you.
