Harold L. Patton


Harold L. Patton 91, was called to be with his parents Lloyd and Letha Patton and brother William (Bill), December 30, 2019. 

Born in LaSalle Colorado, in 1928, he graduated from Salina, KS high school in 1945.  Served four years in the Army’s 1st Infantry Division during the Occupation of Germany. Lived and worked as a photo technician in Chicago where he became a lifetime Cubs fan. He moved to Overland Park, in 2003. His friends remember him for his love of the music of J. S. Bach, and his extensive book collection. For the past several years he lived at St. Joseph Place, Overland Park, KS where he could be found sitting in the hallways in the sunlight reading. Never married he leaves behind two brothers, Duane (Theresa) Overland Park and Richard (Kristine) Olathe, and five nephews and nieces and four grand nephews and nieces.

Plans for interment are pending.

    A perfect picture of our cousin Herald – music and reading. As I recall, as a young man and after his Army tour he was considering what to do and mentioned teaching and the ministry. Herald was our oldest cousin, I am nine years his junior and remember him well.
