Mark David Larson

Mark David Larson, born August 24, 1969, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 22, 2018.  He is survived by his wife Tricia, and his sons Brandon and Dillon of Olathe, KS, his parents Marj and Carl Larson of Lee’s Summit, MO and his sister Jodi Larson of Lee’s Summit, MO.

Mark was a graduate of Truman State University and the UMKC School of Business.  He was a man of many talents and had a quick sense of humor.  When he decided to learn something new or take on a project, he did so 100%.  He loved animals, sci-fi, and making people laugh.  He had a great voice;  enjoyed singing and being “Mr. Voice” at Comedy Sports.

Mark was a Master Deputy with the Johnson County, KS Sheriff’s Department until his medical retirement in 2016.  Mark kept his quick wit and great sense of humor through his long and courageous battle with End Stage Renal failure.

Mark was a man of great faith which brings comfort and peace to his family.

To Mark’s family, i am so sorry for your loss. Mark was a great friend in college and I so enjoyed his sense of humor, strong faith and quick wit! Mark was in my wedding, but we lost touch 10+ years ago. I am sorry that i was unaware of his illness. He will be missed. I pray you are comforted through this time.

Our heartfelt sympathy on your loss. The pain must be unimaginable; but as trite as the words are: ‘He’s in a better place now. We wish you peace.

I have been friends with Mark for more than 20 years. We have experienced many things together. His passing has left an empty void in my heart . He was one of a kind, I used to tell him constantly how lucky Tricia was to have him, and after the boys came them as well. I accept Gods will to end his pain and call Him home, however, he left his imprint on my heart. I will continue to be with your family you’ve left behind. Rest well my friend, rest well. Until we meet again.
