Michelle Lynn “Misha” Forbes, 47, long time resident of Basehor, KS. passed away Monday July 1, 2019.
Michelle was born on November 12, 1971 in Angeles City in the Philippines. She was adopted by William David and Mary Ann White on Thanksgiving Day November 25, 1971. Michelle graduated from Shawnee Mission North West High School in 1990, and then attended Kansas State University for 4 years in Manhattan, KS. She loved Theater and Drama and spent lots of her time at Shawnee Mission Theater in the Park. She also enjoyed art and visiting Art museums. She was currently working at
Michael’s in Shawnee, KS. She was very involved in Logan’s school and other activities such as Boy Scouts and Sports, Michelle
would be the first to offer help to anybody! In February 2007 she married John Forbes, and they had a son Logan William Forbes. Logan, now 12, has been her pride and joy, also her rock throughout her sickness. Michelle had been battling health issues
due to her diabetes for several years. This is a quote from Logan “Thank You MOM for these amazing 12 Years of my life. R.I.P. Michelle Lynn Forbes.” Michelle was preceded in death by her her father William David White, paternal grandparents Carroll and Jeanne White, her maternal grandparents Jack and Dorothy Peterson, an Uncle Bob White. She is survived by her mother Mary Ann White of Shawnee, KS, her son Logan William Forbes of Basehor, KS, Logan’s father John Forbes of Basehor, KS, boyfriend Jay Farrell of Belton, MO. Also lots of family and friends. She will be missed dearly!


A Celebration of Life will be held Friday July 19, 2019 at Shawnee Bible Church at 12921 W. 61 st St., Shawnee, KS 66216 at 6:30pm.

    Met her through my sister she immediately became my sister. We share receipe love and laughter. Have never known anyone who fought so hard to live. Your strength and persevere will never be forgotten. Rest well you deserve it. See you on the other side

    I was very lucky to know Michelle! We worked together on the night crew at Harte Hanks, but would always be watching movies while at work because no calls would come in! My shifts were always hizzy tizzy because of her (she knows what hizzy tizzy means)! I’ll always remember you Michelle!! Rest easy until we meet again! Heaven is a lot more hizzy tizzy now!!

    I am having such a hard time with this! Michelle, I you are going to be missed! You were an incredible Niece, Daughter, Mom, Granddaughter, Cousin, and most of all friend to everyone!
    I remember the day your parents called and said they had you! The entire family was elated!
