Patricia A. (Kneaves) Zubeck, 80, of Kingsville, Mo died December 16, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospital.
Pat was born in Kansas City, MO, to Edgar L. and Margaret (Schleicher) Kneaves on August 23, 1937. She was the fourth of seven children.  She lived in Kansas City, MO, and attended Annunciation Grade School then Lillis High School. In September of 1954 she entered St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1957. She married Jim Zubeck on February 7, 1959 and they had three daughters, Cathy Gould (Russell), Nancy Robinson (Dennis), and Cindy Preston (Steve). Pat worked as an RN at Truman Lakewood for 22 years, 14 as nursing supervisor, until she retired in 2001.
She leaves her husband, children, and five grandchildren, Mallory Andros(Marcus), Amy Streit(Branden), C.J. Gould, Kim Gould, and Alan Preston. Also three great-grandchildren, Mason, Macallen and Mosley Andros.
Services will be held Friday, December 22 at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in Lee’s Summit, MO, with visitation from 4 to 6 pm followed by mass.  In Lieu of flowers the family asks a donation be made to Powell Gardens.

    We can’t believe she’s gone. Just day after Thanksgiving we were together with other Evanston Way friends. We were friends for fifty years. Nothing can fill the space in our hearts. Our condolences to the family. Thank you Mallory for keeping us up to date on her health.

    I met Pat when we both worked as nursing supervisors at Truman Lakewood. Pat was a dear, dear friend and I will miss her. She was a wonderful person with a caring, kind and generous heart. May she rest in peace.

    It is with deep sadness that we have learned of Pat’s passing away. We just learned this last night (1/3/18) and our hearts are heavy with this loss of Pat. She was such a dear friend to me, my late husband Gary,as well as my sons, and my anchor when I worked along side her at Truman-East,now, many years ago. December is a very hard month to lose someone so dear to you. We are sending truly heartfelt sympathy to Jim, her daughters and families, whom she loved so much.
