Victoria Piscitelli, née Vadala, 88 years old, passed away March 21, 2019, in Overland Park, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent, her parents, Antonio and Francesca Vadala, and brother, Pasquale.
Victoria grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and graduated from Bay Ridge High School. She worked at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in New York City for more than 40 years, first as a receptionist, then as an administrative assistant. “Miss Vicky” loved the dance industry!
On June 9, 1951, she married Vincent, and they had two daughters. She enjoyed cooking and feeding everyone, doing crossword puzzles, dance, family activities and large family dinners. Vicky had a love for animals and adored all the family cats.
Vicky is survived by daughters; Francine Lipoff, and Maria (Keith) Campbell. She is also survived by her sister, Rose (Nick) Sicurella; grandchildren, Joseph Lipoff, and Jessica Campbell; nephews, Tom Sicurella and Patrick (Lorraine) Vadala, as well as Beth Lipoff and Jules (Renee) Lipoff. Her extended family will remember her as a loving grandmother, mother, sister, aunt, godmother and friend. Vicky made everyone feel like family. She is loved beyond measure and will never be forgotten.
Funeral services and a celebration of Vicky’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aril 6 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 5400 West 75th Street in Prairie Village, with reception and visitation to follow.
